A32NEWS - A man suddenly appeared by driving a car on the campus of Ohio State University, Columbus, USA, and then rammed his vehicle toward a pedestrian Monday local time.
A moment later, the offender out of the car and began to attack the people by using a meat cleaver.
Perpetrators continued to attack until at least nine people were injured, before he was shot to death by local security forces.
When asked whether the authorities regard the incident as a terror attack, Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs said that investigators open the possibility that direction.
"Around 9:52, the male suspect driving a car and began to hit the pedestrians," said Craig Stone, Chief of Police at the University of Ohio.
"He got out of the vehicle, and using a meat cleaver to start attacking the pedestrians," said Stone was quoted as saying by AFP.
"Our officers were on site in quick time and immediately put an end to the action," he said.
As a result of this attack, nine people were transported to hospitals -delapan of them are in stable condition and one critical.
Meanwhile, Jacobs said there was no indication of more than one actor in this attack.
